Our History

After four years of intensive training and gaining full Master Technician status with a pioneering PDR company, AutoDentz Ltd was set up by Derek Clancy in 2001. While establishing AutoDentz as a premium PDR company in Plymouth and Cornwall over the next five years, his son Jason joined the business. 

For two years, Derek was on hand to provide invaluable advice and to put Jason through the same rigorous PDR training process. Starting a more hands-on role in the company, Jason began supporting many of the local car dealerships, used car forecourts, and body repair centres in Plymouth and Cornwall that remain valued clients to this day. 

Following the sad loss of Derek, Jason has taken AutoDentz forward to become a leading specialist car dent repair outfit. In 2018, our dedicated on-site workshop opened and the team grew with another experienced PDR technician coming on board. 

AutoDentz continues to go from strength to strength, serving commercial and public clients old and new for car dent repairs across Plymouth and Cornwall.  

Who we are

Jason Clancy

Following expert training from Dad, Derek Clancy, and with continued trade experience, Jason has since developed his skills to provide specialist repair techniques for every AutoDentz customer.  

As owner and Managing Director, he’s gained accreditation with the Institute of Motor Industries (IMI) – a trade body which externally verifies all repairs done by AutoDentz. He’s also earned additional certification to carry out work safely on electric and hybrid cars – a growing addition to the AutoDentz repair schedule. 

Joining the business at an early age, Jason has acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience and brings continuity, professionalism, and excellence to the AutoDentz brand.  

Paul Pearson

Joining Jason at AutoDentz in 2018, after relocating with his family from Yorkshire, Paul brings plenty of experience in the vehicle body repair industry to the business. 

After spending three years qualifying as a vehicle paint refinisher, Paul began his career in car body shops specialising different aspects of the trade. He then made the transition into high-level paintless dent removal gaining plenty of experience, particularly in hail damage repair.  

With a dedicated commitment to PDR, Paul has continued his professional development with specialist training. Holding the same IMI qualification as Jason, Paul is now a highly skilled and experienced PDR technician, heading up our mobile service.
